Kids Cook!
Mountain Roots invites kids ages 10-18 to join our Kids Cook! courses, designed to inspire and educate teenagers about the world of culinary arts. Our classes feature fun themes, cooking from scratch, and plenty of tasting. With different recipes each week, kids learn skills to cook delicious meals that are nutritious, organic, and locally sourced when possible.
We offer six-week sessions every fall, winter, and spring in both Gunnison and Crested Butte, as well as additional workshops throughout the year. Allergies are accommodated and spaces are limited.

Kids Cook! Spring 2025 is here! Students will spend six weeks creating dishes inspired by cuisines around the world. Sushi, lo mein, pad thai, posole, and so much more. We can’t wait to spend time in the kitchen with your kids, exploring the diverse flavors that make cooking so much fun.

¡Los niños cocinan! ¡Primavera 2025 ya está aquí! Los estudiantes pasarán seis semanas creando platos inspirados en cocinas de todo el mundo. Sushi, lo mein, pad thai, posole y mucho más. Hands-On Cooking: Your budding chefs will roll up their sleeves and dive into the world of cooking, learning essential culinary skills along the way.

Delicious Recipes: From brain-boosting blueberry oatmeal to sustainable chickpea stir-fries and mouthwatering vegan tacos, your chefs will create scrumptious dishes from scratch that not only tantalize the taste buds but also make a difference.
