Backyard Harvest

Packing and Delivering Food Boxes

Feast in the Field

Every Tuesday from 10am - 3pm, the Food Security Team and a handful of volunteers organize, pack, and deliver free, fresh food boxes to our Backyard Harvest Recipients. Deliveries take place on Tuesdays. We deliver these free boxes to over 150 households each week throughout the Gunnison Valley, all year long. We need assistance packing these boxes and delivering them all over the valley.

Feast raises a significant portion of the Mountain Roots annual budget and relies on volunteers to execute the event and ensure the organization is able to fulfill its mission in the coming year. Mountain Roots is seeking volunteers for: event setup, bartending, check-in, decor, waitstaff, service staff,  break down, dishwashing, and transportation. rudy@mountainrootsfoodproject.org for more information!
